Segunda convocatoria para presentar trabajos — III Congreso Latinoamericano de Ecología Política

INSURGENCIAS DECOLONIALES Y HORIZONTES EMANCIPATORIOS: ECOLOGÍA POLÍTICA Y LIBERACIÓN
Salvador, Bahia, Brasil | 18-20 marzo de 2019

La Red Latinoamericana de Ecología Política, a través del Comité Organizador del III Congreso Latinoamericano de Ecología Política, invita a la comunidad académica y movimientos a participar de este evento que se realizará en Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, entre el 18 y 20 de marzo de 2019 – en NUEVA FECHA.

El tema de este III Congreso enfrenta un momento turbulento por el que pasa América Latina, con la emergencia de gobiernos autoritarios y neoliberales, la aceleración de las políticas extractivistas y de desnacionalización de los recursos naturales, ademas del crescimiento de las desigualdades socioambientales. Frente al giro reaccionario, emergen insurgencias decoloniales y luchas que recomponen horizontes emancipatorios. Nuevas ecologías de resistencias que reconfiguran la práxis liberadora. Teniendo lugar en este contexto político de urgencia, el Congreso busca crear un espacio de encuentros y convergencias entre pensamiento y prácticas emancipatorias, entre académicos, movimientos y activistas.

El Congreso es organizado por la Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) y la Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia, a través del grupo de investigacion Ambientes Indisciplinados y apoio del Grupo de Trabajo en Ecología Política Desde America Latina – Abya Yala, de CLACSO, e involucra una red de colaboraciones con otras universidades brasileñas, latino-americanas y movimientos sociales.

Second call for papers — III Latin American Congress of Political Ecology

DECOLONIAL INSURGENCES AND EMANCIPATORY HORIZONS: POLITICAL ECOLOGY AND LIBERATION
Salvador, Bahia, Brazil | March 18-20 2019

The Latin American Network of Political Ecology, thorugh the organizing committee of the III Latin American Congress of Political Ecology, invites the academic community and social movements to participate in this meeting, which will be held in Salvador, in the state of Bahia, Brazil, from March 18th to 20th, 2018 — NEW DATES.

The main theme of the congress deals with the turbulent times faced by Latin America, with the emergence of authoritarian and neoliberal governments and the acceleration of extrativist policies and the desnationalization of natural resources.

Facing this reaccionary turn, decolonial insurgences and struggles emerge, regathering emancipatory horizons, new resistance ecologies that reconfigure the liberation praxis. Within this urgent political context, the Congress aims to create a space for encounters and convergences between emancipatory thought and practices, between academy, social movements and activism.

The congress is organized by the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB), with the research group Undisciplined Environments and the support of Clacso’ Working Group on Political Ecology from Latin America Abya Yala, gathering a network of collaboration with other Brazilian and other latin-american universities and social movements.

The conference will take place in Salvador de Bahia, also known as the ‘city of joy’.
